Hi! I’m happy you’re here. Let’s grab our coffee and just dive right in, shall we?
I’m Holly. I am passionate about Jesus, coffee and being a mom. I married my high school sweetheart, Zach, in 2013, and together we became licensed foster parents in April 2017. When my husband and I first started the process to become licensed, it became very clear that this was not a world in which I knew anyone. Even after training, I could count, on one hand, the number of people currently fostering that I knew in person. Instead, I came to realize that most of my support came from families sharing their experiences on blogs or Instagram accounts. Daily, I would check in with these families and feel encouraged, enlightened or reassured that I had people who would know the grief in my heart as if it were their own. My hope is that by starting this blog, I can help demystify foster parenting by sharing what we do, how we feel about it, and how more people can get involved. It’s not always pretty, but it’s always worth it.
